This was my first medical device and it’s a fascinating piece of machinery. The IcellatorX is a next-generation device that works with adipose fat to isolate stem cells for medical use. These devices are mostly self-running once set-up so they need to be easily readable from anywhere in the lab to check status. Nearly all of the instructions are integrated right into the interface in the form of videos so they can be used without the manual–including the complicated troubleshooting and extensive settings screens. This generation of device just went into use in the Summer of 2019.
